It cost approximately $50.00 dollars per month for a 30 day supply of clean-filtered drinking water to a family of four in Haiti (approximately 30 gallons). The water will be delivered in 5 gallon containers to each family’s current address. This water will be used for drinking and cooking. HUP will identify and choose needy families as they request assistance and post this information on our website. We will be conducting an extensive outreach program geared to receive these requests. You may sponsor as many families as you wish. As these families receive water, we will share this success with you through pictures and feedback from the families you choose to sponsor. If you do not specify a family to sponsor, HUP will choose one for you and keep you updated as it relates to how your donation has helped them. We will send you pictures of the families you sponsor and share their stories with you. We will also make sure that each individual family is aware that it is YOU are responsible for providing clean drinking water to them. You may communicate with your sponsored family via email or any other means you desire. You will be provided with your family’s name, address, email and telephone.
If you cannot afford to sponsor a family, any size donation you give will be combined with other donations so that groups of people can sponsor a family together. Everyone in the group will be updated as mentioned above.
